Nest Box Installation & Monitoring Service
At South East Elevation, our supplementary environmental team are qualified and experienced to provide you with the following services from our EWP platform to support your next environmental project.
NEST BOX PROGRAM
We support Environmental Consultancy Groups to promote the enhancement and protection of habitat and fauna through Nest Box installation and monitoring within their offset programs. These vital programs have proven to be effective in the uptake of endangered species using the boxes as a safe and comfortable habitat option.
Our complete Nest box service, in conjunction with Ecologists and consultants includes:
1. Identifying suitable tree species and positions which would support Nest box installations
2. Consulting with clients on the type of box required to support the target fauna species
3. Installing the boxes safely at heights from our truck-mounted EWP basket
4. Meticulous logging of data for monitoring & tracking purposes
5. Monitoring the boxes with our EWP regularly to gain insights into target species for reporting purposes
6. Providing ongoing essential maintenance to the boxes

Wildlife Crossing Installations
At South East Elevation, we utilise our EWP equipment and experience working alongside Ecologists to install much needed Wildlife Crossings throughout Queensland and Northern NSW.

In support of environmental consultancy groups, our team aids in the protection and preservation of Australian biodiversity through the installation of fauna crossings to reduce habitat fragmentaion by linking habitats seperated by roads or new waterways. Linking habitat areas and essential corridors increases the food sources available to our native fauna, and encourages healthy breeding capabilities. Maximizing the preservation of our native fauna can be assited by implementing safe passage measures to reduce the alarming rates of roadkill in Australia.

South East Elevation is proud to be involved in leading edge Nest box programs which create additional habitat for our native fauna, including threatened and endangered species, who benefit from having additional safe places to call home.
We also support our local customers wishing to provide Nest box habitat options installed on their own property! South East Elevation can advise you on the type of Nest box that would suit your target species and the best place to safely and effectively install the box, close to a matching food source.

Inspecting tree hollows for Wildlife
Fauna Relocation Service
We provide an additional Fauna-Spotter-Catcher service, to locate, catch and relocate native fauna at risk of being injured during tree clearing or trimming. Many animal species call trees their home, they may be living inside tree hollows, tucked in behind bark, or high up in branches in their nests.
Before trimming or removing trees, contact South East Elevation and we can arrange for a thorough inspection of your trees at heights from the EWP, and if necessary, can remove and relocate fauna to alternative safe habitat areas prior to tree clearing. Our Fauna Spotter Catcher is qualified and has the neccessary permits to enable appropriate relocation options for them. Preserving our Fauna species in Queensland is a prioity for all to consider.
Tree Trimming & Maintenance
Arboriculture & Cultural Heritage Service
South East Elevation can assist with tree trimming at heights for applications including:
Roadside tree trimming, parks and gardens maintenance programs, nature strip trimming and clearing for develeopment. Recent trimming and tree removal projects included trimming along electrical transmission lines and railway corridors during their development.
In past projects, South East Elevation has been proud to have worked alongside Cultural Heritage Teams in the removal of Scarred Trees prior to clearing works. Our sensitive approach ensures that the significant trees are carefully removed ready for relocation to thier keeping place. Our team is experienced in Arboriculture creating a valuable additional service at heights for your next project.
Fauna Spotter Catcher Service

If your project requires a fauna spotter catcher, our team at South East Elevation can assist you with an experienced spotter/catcher with a Rehabilitation Permit to assist prior to clearing works. This includes the thourough checking of tree hollows and tree branches at heights from our EWP to ensure extensive checks for fauna are completed prior to tree removal. The use of Borescopes, torches and battery chainsaws aid in the ability to check deep into tree hollows. Our Cherry picker operator is highly experienced working alongside fauna spotter/catchers ensuring they feel safe working from the EWP basket, and ensuring comprehensive access to the tree is avaiable in order for them to do their work well.
Tree Trimming Service
If your project requires tree trimming from an EWP, we can include this as an additional service along with the wet hire of our cherry picker. Darren has over 25 years experience in tree trimming services, and will trim to Australian Standards.
